BEGINNING TEMPERED GLASS MOSAICS

(No previous mosaics experience necessary. Repeat students welcome.)
Where: Susan's studio in Grass Valley (off Greenhorn)
When: two days: June 14, 1-5pm and June 15, 1-3 pm.
What: Susan will teach the basics of the tempered glass application.
We will make a 10 x 10" mirror wall-hanging or a 10 x 10" trivet . You can bring your own decorative papers, photos, or other flat (paper-thin)mementos.
First class: prepping, decorating, glassing.
Second class: Grouting and sealing.
Cost: $140. All materials included.

DROP-IN MOSAICS CLINIC

This clinic gives you an opportunity to get some help on your particular projects and ideas.
This is for all skill levels.

Where: Susan's studio in Grass Valley (off Greenhorn)
When: June 19th, 20th, 21st. Drop-in anytime between 10 and 2 for however many hours you want.
Please email/call Susan ahead of time to schedule.
What: This depends on you. If you're working on a tempered glass project and need some help.
If you're working on a mosaic and need some help.
If you're making a garden globe, a wall-hanging, a stepping stone, etc. and you need some help getting started, or getting through it, or getting it finished, drop by Susan's studio for some individual help.
Cost: $30./hour for one student. $20./hour for two or more. (One hour minimum). Additional charge for supplies.

BEGINNING MOSAICS (EXTERIOR MOSAICS)

The focus of this class is on creating mosaics that are intended to "live" outside.
A perfect class for those with no or very little mosaic experience.
(No previous mosaics experience necessary. Repeat students welcome.)

Where: Susan's studio in Grass Valley (off Greenhorn)
When: Two days: July 19, 11-5pm (bring a lunch) and July 20, 1-3 pm.
What: Lots of information in this class! Prep, safety, tools, all the crazy-fun materials (Broken dishes and tiles are just the tip of the iceberg!), design basics, adhesives, grouting, sealing, finishing. We will make a 10 x 10" stepping stone or lawn flower.
Feel free to bring your own crockery, tiles, etc..
First class: Lecture and hands-on mosaic-making.
Second class: Grouting, sealing, finishing.
Cost: $175. (all materials provided)

BEGINNING MOSAICS (INTERIOR MOSAICS)

The focus of this class in on creating decorative mosaics that will "live" indoors.
A perfect class for those with no or very little mosaic experience.

When: Two days: July 12, 11-5pm (bring a lunch) and July 13, 1-3 pm.

FUN WITH POLYMER CLAY

Finally a clay that can be baked in your own oven! The focus of this class in on creating amazing surface effects on polymer clay creations (tiles , jewelry , home decor)
(No previous experience necessary. Repeat students welcome.)

Where: Susan's studio in Grass Valley (off Greenhorn)
When: One day: June 22, 11-5pm (bring a lunch/snack).
What: Polymer clay basics (sources, safety, storage, various brands, conditioning, rolling, baking, etc.), textures, colors, iridescence, shine!
We will make several small tiles to take home. Some of these will be used to make a small keepsake/jewelry box, or a small wall-hanging.
Cost: $125. (all materials included)
